Jaryn's Senior Portraits

So Jaryn is a highly motivated senior, graduating from University of Maryland. I had a great time getting to know her on a beautiful afternoon in Inner Harbor Baltimore.

Alana-Senior Portraits

This past sunday I got to spend the afternoon with Alana and her mother in downtown Frederick Md to photograph Alana's senior portraits. Alana's graduating this June and she plays the Oboe which until sunday I have never seen one in real life. Here are a few of my fav's. Congrats Alana!

Thank you my Goupon People!!

I'm blown away with how popular my Groupon coupon went this weekend. It has truly touched my heart for me to see all the wonderful comments people have left and how excited people are to book a session with me and to tell you something, I'm equally excited and PUMPED!!! Groupon was a hit and in fact both Groupon and I were amazed with the numbers. By 7:10 a.m. (one hour after the email was sent) the deal was on at 15, by 9:20 a.m. 69 were sold, and 12:30 that afternoon on Friday 227 were sold! I had to put a cap at 500, and Sunday afternoon we were sold out. I've already started on sessions and have already photographed two so far! So because there is 500 coupons out there I will be setting aside certain days at some gorgeous places; some of which will include Sandy Point Beach MD, Annapolis Maryland, Great Falls in Potamac Maryland, Rockville Civic Center A.K.A Glenview Mansion, Inner Harbor Baltimore, Fells Point in Baltimore, Harpers Ferry W.V., Old Town Frederick MD, D.C's Cherry Blossoms (for 2011), and perhaps a pumpkin patch in the fall. So if your interested in any of these, or know any other "hot spots" please let me know!

So I'm getting so pumped for the 2010 wedding season, I have my first wedding of the season in a couple weeks and I was searching the web to see what the trends are for 2010.  I found these on www.about.com

Homemade Wedding Favors

Though favors are an expense that's easy to eliminate, right now couples are especially grateful to guests who have incurred considerable expense to be a part of the celebration. The 2010 wedding trend is using homemade favors to express that thanks, and to send guests home with your love.




























Birdcage Veils

These vintage-look veils combine a jeweled clip or feathered headpiece with netting that only covers the face. In the picture above, Drew Barrymore is wearing a birdcage veil to a recent movie premiere. Wearing one allows you to have some dramatic glamor and feel like a bride, but is a more fun look and less hassling than a long traditional veil.

Mismatched Bridesmaid Dresses

For several years, brides have been selecting a bridesmaid dress designer and a fabric, then letting their bridesmaids choose the style that works best for their bodies. But the 2010 wedding trend takes idea further. Choose only a color, then let your bridesmaids find an off-the-rack dress of any designer that they like. Not only does this take some pressure off of you, but it also ensures that women are choosing a dress they like and they'll be likely to actually wear again. If you follow this trend, be sure to tell your bridesmaids how formal the dress should be – you don't want one bridesmaid wearing a casual sundress while another has on a beaded evening gown.

Strapless Wedding Dresses

If you're saying to yourself, "This isn't a new 2010 wedding trend!" you're right. Strapless dresses have been extremely popular for several years now. And though more brides are opting for sleeves, straps, and other ways of covering the shoulders, strapless is going to continue to be the dominant style for the near future.

Easter Tractor Ride!

Easter 2010 was a blast, could not ask for better weather or food! My nephew is almost two and he was smiles all day! It was a big day for him; easter basket, egg hunt, big dinner, and a tractor ride. It was so beautiful out that we sat outside and enjoyed the Spring weather with dessert and coffee. My Aunt Dorrie spent  Easter with us and that was a treat in itself!
