Terah's-Headshots

Terah is a hip hop dancer and if you don't already know what that is  (refers to social or choreographed dance styles primarily danced to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. This includes a wide range of styles notably breakinglocking, and popping which were developed in the 1970s) think Beyonce and her dancers. Well I got to see her dance and she's just simply AMAZING. Only 16 years of age and the youngest of her dance group, when I met her she was on her way to perform with her group up in NYC later that week. She  has guns that would make Kelly Rippa jealous, and the sweetest personality, she calls me Miss Brooke. There is nothing like seeing a someone so young, know what they want to do in their life and be so passionate about it. It's truly a gift to know that young of age.

I wish you all the best Terah! I know you will succeed!

Here's her video slide show as well!

BBP goes on vacation

Hi Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a great summer & wearing that SPF!

After photographing, editing, labeling, and shipping over 70 sessions in the past couple months I will be taking some time off for some R&R. From June 30th-July 9th, 2010 I will be on vacation. I apologize for any inconvenience. Rest assured, orders will still be processed, and appointments will still be made, all as if I was still here. (that's because I'll still be working on vacation, just as long as I have reception and internet).

My blog is undergoing a makeover and I'm so looking forward to it!  Please check back frequently to see the makeover, as well as more pictures! (I promise to be more diligent about blogging).

Also, for those who plan to book a session for the fall, please call or email me for an appointment, weekend dates are filling up!

Later Gators!

Glen & Mallory- Engagement Session

Glen and Mallory are so sweet! And their dog (who's name I totally forgot) was adorable. Gettysburg battlefield is where we shot and it was incredible beautiful there. Awesome farmed fields, huge rocks, and windy roads really worked for this engagement session. Congrats Glen and Mallory!

Narae & Corban-Engagement Session

I LOVED this session. It's not everyday that I get to photograph a real cowboy from Colorado, and a beautiful korean woman. They both moved to Washington, DC area a little while ago and though they don't plan to live here forever they thought the monuments would be perfect for their engagement session. I love how they both showed their individuality

The Luty's- Family Portraits

Just your typically American family. The Luty's were such a fun easy going family, and I love their choice of colors in their outfits! Due to the heat, we did a whirlwind tour of the the beautiful downtown Annapolis, Md. I love the quaintness that the town offers, and nothing get's to me like the eastern shore of Maryland.

as they say on the Wedding Crashers "CRAB CAKES AND FOOTBALL, THAT'S WHAT MARYLAND DOES!"

The Bilski's-Family Session

I meet the coolest people in my line of work, right before this shoot it looked like it was going to rain, and then it didn't, and then 5 minutes before BAM! it poured. We had to wait for it to pass, and it did. Down town Alexandria has a lot to offer. They have great streets including a pebbled one, huge park, and a dock. Very similar to Annapolis but without the drive.

I love summer!

My family and I all live close together and it's so nice, especially in the warmer weather months. My dad puts in this huge garden and it's so amazing to watch it grow and eat the freshest veggies. He plants about 50-100 tomato plants and my mother cans. My nephew Alex is about 2 and it's become a tradition to get his photo taken in the garden every year, well it's a tradition now, now that it's happened again. While he was over last time my mother cut his hair and afterwards we hosed him done with the garden hose. He loves to run and play with his Shreck ball.

A too Cute-Family Session

How cute is it to see a 2 year old in a suit and shorts on a tricycle with a big lollipop? Here are a couple from a May photo session at a little Virginia park.
